Federal Hwy 200 winds south from downtown along the coastline before heading inland at Boca de Tomatlan en route to Manzanillo.  It first passes through Conchas Chinas, the "Beverly Hills of Puerto Vallarta" as it's often referred.  The highway divides Conchas Chinas into its Upper and Lower sides. It winds further south past a variety of resorts, condominium complexes and beachside homes.  The inland communities of El Nogalito, Mismaloya, Boca de Tomatlan provide a sense of being in small town Mexico yet downtown is only 10, 20 or 30 minutes away respectively.
