From the estuary south to downtown and to the east south of the Pitillal River is an area best referred to as Midtown or Central Vallarta.  A large swath of urban land where more and more expat retirees are discovering the benefits owing in this area: Centrally located and easy to get downtown or across town without the road congestion that downtown often experiences; and for being removed from downtown the prices are noticably cheaper.
